Psychotherapist
Get to know me
You know, my journey into therapy wasn't just a career choice – it really came from a deep place, a personal understanding of what it's like to navigate tough stuff. That's why, after more than 20 years in Human Services, I'm still so passionate about helping people find their way through mental health challenges. I truly believe in creating a space where you can feel safe enough to explore what you're going through without any judgment.
My background includes a Master's in Human Services from Lincoln University back in 2006, which was a great foundation. But I really honed my skills and dove deeper when I got my second Master's in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland in 2018. There, I focused on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and understanding how trauma impacts us.
All of my education, and working in different places such as the Department of Social Services, schools, private practices, and community mental health centers, has given me a really well-rounded perspective and the tools to tailor my approach to what each person uniquely needs. For me, it's all about connecting with you and helping you feel understood and supported.
